Arran Eco Savvy is excited to launch our Eco Stories Exhibition this winter, and we want YOU to be part of it.
The exhibition will showcase local voices, creativity, and action to highlight the many ways people on Arran are living more sustainably. From small everyday changes to big community projects, we want to collect stories that inspire others and show that climate action is possible for everyone.
What is an Eco Story?
An Eco Story is simply a moment where you made a positive change for the planet. It could be something practical, creative, or personal. For example:
- You borrowed one of our e-bikes and enjoyed it so much that you decided to buy your own.
- You swapped disposable nappies for reusable ones and noticed the difference in both waste and cost.
- You recently renovated your home and chose to install an air source heat pump to cut your carbon footprint.
- You started growing more of your own food or joined a community garden.
- You tried repairing or upcycling something instead of throwing it away.
No story is too small. Everyday choices add up, and together they show the big picture of how Arran is moving towards a sustainable future.
Who Can Take Part?
We’re looking for contributions from:
- Community groups and organisations leading on environmental action.
- Local businesses making greener choices.
- Artists, photographers, and writers capturing Arran’s connection to nature.
- Young people and schools with climate-focused projects or creative work.
- Everyday islanders making changes at home, in the garden, or at work.
Why Share Your Story?
Your Eco Story could:
- Inspire others to make changes in their own lives.
- Showcase the incredible steps Arran is taking towards net zero.
- Celebrate the creativity, resilience, and innovation of our community.
- Contribute to a unique island-wide exhibition that will be displayed as part of the Arran Climate Festival in early 2026.
How to Get Involved
If you’d like to take part in the Eco Stories Exhibition, please get in touch with us at sofi@arranecosavvy.org.uk. You can contribute a creative piece, a project showcase, or simply share your personal story in writing.
Together, let’s tell the story of Arran’s journey to a sustainable future, one Eco Story at a time.
