Eco Savvy has provided energy efficiency and renewables advice for Islanders within the Arran Energy Challenge 2018/19 and Sustainable Island Life project 2019 to 2021. This resulted in huge carbon reductions for the island.
The energy you use in your home is one of the biggest contributors to your personal carbon footprint. The BBC reported that nearly two thirds of UK homes fail to meet long-term energy efficiency targets.
Here at Eco Savvy, we have been working hard to help Arran residents improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes through our 3 year energy project that ran until March 2021.
Free home energy visits are no longer available but watch our energy advisor talk through low cost yet effective home energy tips. She discusses when these measures are suitable, average costs, potential savings, and examples of what they look like and where to buy them. Most of these hacks are DIY so can be done relatively easily in the home without specialist tools or knowledge!
Home Energy Scotland are continuing their work with the valuable Warmer Homes Scotland scheme to benefit Arran residents. They can offer free and impartial home energy audits on the island and also offer financial support for energy efficiency measures such as insulation along with interest free loans for renewable energy such as solar PV.
Charlotte Mann can provide you with an Energy Performance Certificate. She is the only island based provider of this service and is fully accredited in Domestic Energy Assessment. Contact her on charlotte.mann95@gmail.com or 07549 148976
