A mobile ‘cafe’ which pops-up in different villages across the island weekly. It’s aim is to get local, seasonal, affordable produce to people, support local growers. It also helps reduce food waste and packaging! As well as reduce the need for travel, help the environment and celebrate food and community. On offer are StrollWithIt! and Nordic Walking programmes run by North Ayrshire Council’s The Trinity Active Travel Hub in collaboration with KA Leisure’s Walking for Health Project which organises regular walks on Arran lead by trained local volunteer health walk leaders.

Fuelling the expansion of AI are resource- intensive Hyperscale Data Centres. In Scotland alone there are proposals for 24 Data Centres to be brought online in the next five years. Combined they have an energy requirement equivalent to 1.5 x the entire country's current energy consumption. Scotland is only becoming sufficiently powered by renewable energy at present, bringing these data centres online would divert this energy from efforts to decarbonise the economy. Take action to call for tighter planning regulations to limit their impact!
